Notice of Executive Session - Deliberation of Interviewed Candidates

NOTICE OF SPECIAL SESSION – EXECUTIVE SESSION ONLY

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the general public that the Board of the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA) will hold Executive Sessions on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, to deliberate on the interviewed candidates for the WIFA Executive Director position.

Deliberating on an interviewed candidate does not mean that the WIFA Board will vote for a candidate in the Executive Session. This would be unlawful under Arizona Open Meeting Law. The same is true for the taking of any straw poll, informal, or preliminary vote in Executive Session. Therefore, all decisions and votes regarding selecting the Director will occur in public session at the Board of Directors meeting on February 19, 2025.

The deliberations will be conducted under the Executive Session in accordance with A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(1)&(3) (discussion or consideration of employment and discussion or consultation for legal advice).

The location of the deliberations will be virtually and at 3300 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012.

Please note: the Executive Sessions will not be open to the public.
