Canvass of the July 30, 2024, Primary Election.


Pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-645(B), the Secretary of State’s Office must canvass the election results of the Primary Election to officially certify them. Once the results are certified, the official canvass will be published to the Secretary of State’s website.

For any elections that include a federal, statewide, or legislative office, or a statewide ballot measure, the official county canvass is sent to the Secretary of State. A.R.S. § 16-645(B). County canvass documents will be posted at www.azsos.gov (link is external)(link is external) after the State canvass.

The Board of Supervisors in each county canvasses election results after all necessary audits have been performed and any discrepancies have been addressed. Under Arizona law, the county canvass must occur not later than the second Monday after the election. A.R.S. § 16-642(A)(1).

The deadline for the Secretary of State to canvass for the 2024 Primary Election is August 15, 2024. A.R.S. § 16-642(A)(2).
